# Modify multiple languages

If you have multilanguage website you can modify more languages in the same .js file. Expand code below using conditions and check your site URL for language code. Based on language you can choose translations you need. In this example you would look for /de/ or /cs/ or /en/in your URL.

  • http://example.com/de/
  • http://example.com/cs/
  • http://example.com/en/
<script>
if (window.location.href.indexOf("http://example.com/de/") > -1) { //choose URL
  smartsupp('language', 'de'); //set DE language
} else if (window.location.href.indexOf("http://example.com/cs/") > -1) { //choose URL
  smartsupp('language', 'cs'); // set CS language
} else {
  smartsupp('language', 'en'); // set EN language
}
</script>

# Custom Privacy notice

In Dashboard Settings > Chat box > Options (opens new window) you can select Show notice about personal data processing (visible when offline). In case you do not want default text you can change it.

privacy notice

<script>
  smartsupp('translate', {
    privacyNotice: {
      title: 'Your Privacy notice title',
      text: 'Custom text'
    }
  });
</script>

# Create new texts

Maybe your language is not on of those we provide. Maybe you do not need everything translated and need just some parts. You can create your own texts and define language code for your own language. Any other words will be added from our default English texts.

<script>
  smartsupp('translate', {
    widget: {
      online: 'Text for language XY.'
    }
  }, 'xy'); // set your own langauge code

  // define the language code
  smartsupp('language','xy');
</script>

# Custom texts

If you want to modify existing texts you can write your own texts in any language. All you need to do is to define the language at the end of the script. In this example we change default text Online => We are online.

we are online

<script>
  smartsupp('translate', {
    widget: {
      online: 'We are online'
    }
  }, 'en');
</script>
